Training and Experience

I’ve been styling hair for as long as I can remember, but it all formally started at one of the oldest schools in Canada called Scientific Marvell located in downtown Winnipeg. 

Since then, I have relocated to the west coast of BC where I spend my time between Victoria and Vancouver. I love to keep up to date on trends, technology, and hands-on training with the original/money penny of Kevin Murphy himself. 

I’ve also received training from Rusk, Milkshake, Oscar Bond, Sassoon, Oribe (Christian Ceja-Compin, Kirk Hoang, Adam Livermore),  Redken, L’anza and more!

I’ve always worked at boutique style salons with a two year stint at Holt Renfrew (Holts Salon and Spa). I’ve won a couple of awards here and there but nothing that I really talk about. 

Why do clients love me? 

I’ve been told a number of times how therapeutic it is to come in to have hair services, mentally and physically relaxing, feeling safe and cared for, conversation and connection had been paramount. 

I’ve been told that they feel like they always learn something or that I have been an important part of their hair journey. 

Why Session?

“Session“ came from the feeling of having a therapeutic session for one’s hair. There is also the implied “session” for achieving a hair goal. Sometimes it’s one, like a blow dry or a haircut, and sometimes it’s two or three appointments to get to that perfect colour while maintaining the integrity of the hair. 

In my Personal Life

I love renovating and creating a wholesome and relaxing space at home. Love to cook/bake and explore the island, camping and paddle boarding are my happy place. I like to paint and feel like art runs deep in our family.
